My motto is: 'When I shoot you live forever'. I've been taking photos all my life, from 110 and 126 disposables at school to my first published 35mm shot at 18.
As a photographic lab printer for many years, I learned from the professionals more than I realised. In those days, photo labs were the only way to 'see' what was shot, and we served the best photographers in Johannesburg.
By the time I stepped behind a lens officially, I had unknowingly developed (pun intended) my own style, which I've been exploring and refining ever since. And my many moons as a photographic editor made my transition to Photoshop seamless.
I believe people are at their most beautiful when they're not trying. So I focus on making folks feel as comfortable as possible, and good timing takes care of the rest.
My gallery is divided into different categories in the drop-down menu under 'GEMS' for your visual pleasure.
